Connecting the wind
turbine to consumption and other energy sources. |
"Iasos"
wind turbines are an open system of electricity production, with many
uses and many ways of connecting either to consumption or to other sources
of electricity. 1. |
Connect
the generator (three wires) to the "charger controller". Connect the "charger controller" to the batteries so that the electricity produced by the wind turbine is stored and available during periods of time when there is no wind. Then using a Pure Sine "inverter" connect the batteries to the installation you want to supply with electricity. The following schematic diagram shows the relevant wiring. |
2. The wind turbine will be used to provide electricity to someone who wants to reduce the amount of electricity they buy from their country's electricity grid. (Operation with multiple sources of electricity). Connect the generator (three wires) to the "charger controller". Connect the "charger controller" to the batteries so that the electricity produced by the wind turbine is stored and available during periods of time when there is no wind. Then using a "Pure Sine inverter" connect the batteries to the special automatic "power selector switch" (part code "C8021"). From the special "power supply source selection switch", you can connect the installation you want to electrify. The next picture shows the automatic "power selector switch". |
In
this automatic switch, you can set either the mains or the wind turbine
as the primary source of electricity. So when the primary source of electricity,
for whatever reason, does not provide power, then automatically the supply
switches to the secondary source of power. Please note that the "power selector switch" is not included in the equipment and price of the wind turbine. You will have to order it from us separately from the wind turbine. The following schematic diagram shows the relevant wiring. |
3. The wind turbine will be used to provide electricity to someone who already has another source of green energy and wants to increase the total amount of energy produced. (Operation with multiple sources of electricity). In the "charger controller", with which the "Iasos" wind turbine is equipped and to which you have already connected the generator of the wind turbine, also connect the other source of green energy. The "charger controller" offers three contacts for connecting the generator, which is installed on the wind turbine, and three contacts for connecting another generator or wind turbine. This second input can also be used to connect the photovoltaics. But since the PVs probably provide DC voltage and not AC voltage, you may need to bypass the three specific contacts and connect the two wires of the PVs to other corresponding internal contacts. From the "charger controller" the total electricity, coming from both sources, will be channeled to the batteries. Then using a "Pure Sine inverter" connect the batteries either to the special automatic "electricity selector switch" (code "C8021"), or to your consumption. The previous schematic diagram shows the relevant wiring. |
